Paver calculator guide
This estimator uses the face dimensions of one paver to determine how many whole units cover a rectangular area. It does not account for joint width separately, so use the actual installed coverage supplied by the manufacturer when available.
Worked example
20 × 10 ft area with 12 × 6 in pavers
The area is 200 ft². Each paver covers 0.50 ft², giving 400 net pavers. With 10% cutting allowance, order about 440 pavers.
FAQ
Does this include joint gaps?
No. It uses the paver face dimensions as a simple coverage estimate. Pattern and joint width can change the actual quantity.
How much waste should I allow?
Simple layouts may need less; diagonal patterns, curves and many cuts generally require more. Confirm with the installer or supplier.
